Native Ingredients… you have heard the term mentioned by chefs, you’ve eaten dishes that refer to them but you don’t really know what they are, where they come from, or why they are so special.
In this masterclass with Something Wild, we will discuss why native ingredients have risen in popularity in recent years, why so many chefs and restaurants are now using them, and why we should also be thinking about including more native ingredients in our cooking.
We will learn about the opportunities but also the challenges facing the native ingredient industry. We will sample a range of native ingredients that pack an incredible flavour punch as part of a guided tasting led by Something Wild and also enjoy a main course prepared by our Sprout chefs highlighting (of course!) Native Ingredients.
